Our Vision of a Green Planet

The Vision of New Energy Portal is to support development, growth and networking in all areas of green and renewable energy. The current situation of our planet demands a change in the ways we produce and use energy. Statistics of all major scientific institutions show that with our continuously increasing energy demand (+2.4% worldwide in 2009) we will have depleted all fossil fuel reserves on Earth within the next 20 years. Therefore, it is only a question of time before we are left with no other choice but to come up with alternative and renewable energy solutions. This is not only a matter of a new and growing market of renewable energy products, but in first place a matter of our very survival on this planet.

Research has shown that with existing technologies and resources it is possible today to create 100% green energy for the demand of the entire planet permanently. We are neither lacking technology, nor resources, but rather time - and a radical shift in our minds and action - for change.

Time is scarce. Many existing and currently employed alternatives, e.g. nuclear power plants, are hazardous to the environment and toxic waste will continue to haunt future generations for millennia to come. Besides are energy sources like nuclear energy plants under the threat of being monopolized and controlled by a few corporations. But with todays renewable energy technologies smart grids and individual solutions can cover the energy demand of single homes and households. It is time to take back the power and the responsibility for our own needs, especially with regards to energy.

New Energy Portal provides information on "Know-How" and hardware suppliers as well as installation companies to get your home off grid. We from NEP want your energy demands to be completely covered by your own renewable energy devices. We furthermore support and provide information on suppliers of green transportation such as electric cars and cars running on water.

The demand for, the industry trend and hence also the investment into renewable energy sources and technologies are rapidly growing. In 2006 Renewable Energy covers 18% of the global Energy consumption.

Technological advances in the field of renewable energy systems give home owners the possibilities to become completely independent from commercial power supplies and oil prices. The ultimate goal of New Energy Portal is to help reach 100% green energy usage for the entire planet.

The Function of New Energy Portal

In practical terms we provide information about Alternative and Renewable Energy issues and an international platform for the promotion of Renewable Energy Sources and Products. The structure is a three tier approach.

1. To have an information-platform, that helps home owners to find useful information on renewable energy sources and in a second step find local companies that can install complete systems at their homes. There is also an E-books section with Do-It-Yourself guides for easy renewable energy applications.

2. Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) can promote their products and services in the business listing. There is a weekly update on SMEs and their products and services, as well as an option for Press Release features.

3. There is an advanced international Business Listing for manufacturers and suppliers of components where SMEs can find suppliers and suppliers can find buyers for their products.

20% of the profits generated by NEP will be donated back into different projects in the area of renewable energy research and development.
